Hi, I’m Autumn, a Hudson Valley + Catskills wedding photographer capturing love on film, at home and on the road.
I love love. So much so that I like to think my arrival to wedding photography was kismet, like something in me knew exactly where all that tenderness needed to go.
That arrival wasn’t linear so much as a slow collection of “yeses”, first to a camera, then to photographing friends’ weddings, and then the weddings of strangers-turned-friends, before I suddenly realized that this had quietly become the whole point of why I take pictures, and why I still want to be taking pictures. Along the way, my work has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, The Boston Globe, and Elle, and I was even named a Rangefinder Rising Star back in 2024, which still catches me off guard some days.
I studied film at Bennington College, where I first fell in love with the darkroom and the quiet, slow process of film and old, large cameras. That patience and curiosity still haven’t been curbed; if anything, it’s become what I offer my couples most.
I live in the Hudson Valley with my husband Josh and our three cats, Llewelyn, Walter, and Earl, in an old cottage we’ve spent years slowly bringing back to life from studs. Most of what feeds my work happens close to home: tending the garden, swimming in my favorite secret Catskills swim spots, admiring the shades of green and blue found here in the Hudson Valley, and sometimes trying my hand at writing or ceramics or watercoloring, just to remember how fun it is to do something just for fun.
Travel shapes the rest of it, whether it’s for you or for me. A wedding weekend in Nantucket, a roadtrip up the coast to spend the afternoon swimming and ferry hopping with a couple in Maine, my annual ski trip out West to Revelstoke or Colorado, my frequent visits to Tucson, Arizona, or quieter weeks spent wandering California, Europe, or Vermont with my husband, which remind me how lucky I am to do this work and that it’s a gift to make art all over the world.
Beyond weddings, I love supporting other photographers in finding their footing in film, particularly medium and large format. Through mentorships and small gatherings, I share what I know about creating art on film, building trust with clients, and finding a style that’s genuinely yours and not borrowed from anyone else’s.
