A seriously meet-cute moment for Eileen + Dan (they worked together!), has evolved into a tender love story for these two. Having carved out a home filled with two bernadoodle pups, Dan surprised Eileen with a weekend away at the Willow Treehouse, a modern, serene and romantic getaway designed by Antony Gibbon and built by William Johnson, just 15 minutes outside Woodstock, New York. With a lack of internet and cell service on the property, it was the perfect spot for these two busy lovers to escape and focus on eachother.

To mark a rare moment away together, Eileen + Dan reached out about documenting this moment in their relationship together on both film + digital. On the heels of planning a wedding in Ireland for the summer of 2023, having photos to document just to two of them, in the Catskill mountains, felt like the perfect opportunity to get cozy, focus on one another, and to get a little silly, too (see the champagne photos below).

We spent the afternoon in the presence of the trees, with Dan + Eileen recreating the infamous “run + jump hug” from The Bachelor (iykyk!), dancing to one of their favorite records, sipping cocktails out of glasses from Eileen’s mother, Mary, climbing old stone walls, doing our best not to fall into the swimming pond, a big champagne moment, and getting tender.

I’m excited to share a small glimpse into one of the most beautiful afternoons that I will carry with me for a long long time. I’m grateful for the moments that lead to tenderness and friendship, and feel so grateful when the universe connects me to other tender hearts, like Eileen + Dan.
